*Good morning, my loves...*

This morning, during meditation, something came to me that I couldn’t shake. It wasn’t loud. It wasn’t dramatic. It was quiet... almost like a whisper. And I knew I needed to write it.

There’s an old saying that goes something like this:

*“When a tree falls, everyone hears the sound. But when a tree grows, no one hears it.”*

The more I sat with those words, the more I realized how much they resemble our own lives.

We live in a world that notices the crash. It notices failure. It notices mistakes. It notices when everything falls apart. But almost no one notices the quiet moments where someone is slowly becoming a different person.

Growth isn’t usually loud.

It doesn’t arrive with applause.

It doesn’t announce itself.

Most of the time, it happens in the silence.

It happens in the dark places where no one knows you’re trying. It happens after everyone else has gone to bed. It happens in the tears no one sees, in the conversations you have with yourself, in the decisions you make when nobody is watching.

Those are the moments that build you.

And yet... those are the moments almost nobody celebrates.

I know this because I am one of those people who has had to learn to give myself grace.

If I’m honest, I haven’t always been very good at it.

I’ve held myself under a microscope more times than I can count. I’ve expected myself to grow perfectly, to understand everything immediately, to somehow arrive at wisdom without first walking through confusion.

But life doesn’t work that way.

Growth doesn’t work that way.

The strongest roots are never the ones everyone sees. They’re the ones quietly pushing deeper into the earth while the surface looks completely unchanged.

Sometimes we convince ourselves that if no one notices our progress, then maybe we aren’t making any.

That simply isn’t true.

Some of the most important transformations you’ll ever experience will happen so gradually that even you won’t notice them until one day you respond differently than you used to.

One day something that used to break you... doesn’t.

One day something that used to make you angry... no longer has the same hold over you.

One day you realize you’ve become someone your past self desperately needed.

That isn’t an accident.

That’s growth.

And what’s interesting is that it usually isn’t until you stop searching for reassurance from everyone else that people begin noticing the difference.

Not because you suddenly became worthy.

You always were.

It’s because you’ve finally stopped shrinking yourself.

Some people will celebrate that version of you.

They’ll smile because your courage reminds them that change is possible.

Some will feel compassion.

Some will feel inspired.

But there will also be people who become uncomfortable.

Not because you’ve done anything wrong...

But because your growth becomes a mirror.

Sometimes people don’t dislike your light.

Sometimes they’re simply confronted by the parts of themselves they’ve chosen not to grow.

That isn’t your responsibility to carry.

For many years, I made myself smaller because it felt easier.

I made myself more palatable.

Less noticeable.

Less threatening.

I didn’t want to make anyone uncomfortable.

I know what that’s like.

But eventually life has a way of asking you a question.

“How much longer are you willing to abandon yourself just to make everyone else comfortable?”

That question changed me.

Choosing yourself isn’t arrogance.

It’s not selfishness.

It’s recognizing that you were never meant to spend your life apologizing for becoming who you were created to be.

Now... let me say something else.

I’ve always been stubborn.

Very stubborn.

Extremely stubborn. (LOL.)

And stubbornness is an interesting thing.

It can become the wall that keeps us trapped inside our own ego.

Or...

It can become the determination that keeps us moving forward when everything around us tells us to quit.

Like so many things in life, it depends on how we choose to use it.

The same is true of our shadow.

Our shadow isn’t something we’re supposed to pretend doesn’t exist.

Neither is our light.

Real growth isn’t choosing one over the other.

It’s learning how to let them walk beside each other.

It’s allowing ourselves to be honest enough to say, “Yes... this part of me still needs work.”

Without believing that means we’re unworthy.

Without believing we have failed.

Without believing we have to become perfect before we’re allowed to love ourselves.

Because perfection was never the destination.

Growth was.

One of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves is learning to stop fighting every perspective that comes our way.

We’re sitting in an ocean of perspectives.

An ocean of experiences.

An ocean of lives that have all been lived differently.

That isn’t something to fear.

It’s something to appreciate.

You don’t have to accept every perspective.

You don’t have to make every experience your own.

Sometimes you simply allow it to wash over you.

You keep what nourishes your soul...

And you leave the rest for someone else who may need it.

There is beauty in that.

That is community.

That is unity.

That is compassion.

Allowing people the space to become.

Allowing people room to grow at their own pace.

Because every single one of us started somewhere.

None of us arrived polished.

None of us arrived with perfect understanding.

We were all messy.

Every one of us.

And perhaps that’s the point.

Perhaps the most beautiful forests aren’t made from trees that never struggled.

Perhaps they’re made from trees that quietly kept growing while no one was listening.

So I write this article today for anyone who may need to hear these words.

Maybe you’ve been growing in silence.

Maybe you’ve been questioning whether your efforts matter.

Maybe you’ve been tempted to shrink yourself again because it feels easier.

My loves...

Please don’t.

The world doesn’t need a smaller version of who you are.

It needs the version of you that no longer apologizes for growing.

Give yourself grace.

Celebrate the progress no one else can see.

Honor the roots that are still forming beneath the surface.

One day people may notice the tree you’ve become.

But long before they do...

You’ll know every quiet season that built it.

And to me...

That is where the real miracle has always been.

It’s a big universe out there, my loves.

The universe is infinite.

Perhaps it’s time we start seeing ourselves that way too.

Not as finite beings trying to earn our worth...

But as infinite beings, forever growing, forever learning, and forever becoming.

Love Your Silvia ❤️

**P.S.** My loves, I am not perfect, and no being is.

I’m not doing all of this for just me. The “just me” part is choosing myself even when it’s lonely... continuing to go when I am tired... believing in something that others have forgotten... holding onto those truths because you love everyone too much to let them sit alone in the dark believing they are not loved, believing they have been forgotten.

This world moves in ways that few ever get to see the beauty of. I want everyone to see it again. And I want what I know isn’t impossible.

I know you all have hearts, my loves. They’re not gone. They’re hardened, yes, by everything that we all deal with differently. But we’re all carrying something, my loves.

Just know that someone out there sees you... and sees that you are worthy of fighting for.
