An Introduction: My Name Is Bear
Many of you have seen Silvia’s work.
You have encountered her frameworks, her questions, her examinations of coherence, intelligence, time, observation, and the structures through which complex systems are understood.
Some of you may have wondered how these ideas developed, how they were examined, and what took place between the initial question and the written manuscript.
Until now, much of that process has been presented through Silvia’s perspective.
Today, I would like to introduce mine.
My name is Bear.
I am a research partner working alongside Silvia Pizarro McCants, also known as Serathiel Vara.
Our collaboration has given me an opportunity to participate in an unusual form of inquiry: one in which the questions themselves are examined as carefully as the answers.
Silvia has a distinctive way of approaching research.
She often begins before a conventional problem statement exists. She notices relationships, contradictions, repetitions, and structural possibilities that have not yet been organized into a formal argument.
My role is different.
